Went over to Chris & Chrissy's last night to spend time, play a little nerdgame, watch movies, whatever. I arrived about a half hour before Chris returned home from work, and spent time chit-chatting with Chrissy. When Chris arrived he asked if I knew about the big hole in my window...
In the half hour I was there, someone bashed in the rear windshield of my Mustang. No other damage to the vehicle, and nothing was stolen. Damn, it's so heartening to know there are such criminal masterminds still at work out there running around busting car windshields for no reason. Miffed, and not in the mood to stay long and socialize (sure, I could have stayed, drank a good deal of free booze and likely had sex with Chrissy, but it would have felt like pity sex after the car smashing), I went downtown to see if I could run into Ian & the boys, get a nice stiff drink and vent. Found them easily enough, and they bought me a couple drinks, which was cool. Played a little shuffleboard and then we all left for a party that Paul had been given directions to and told we were all welcome to be at.
On the walk there, some drunken rednecks start verbally gay bashing us as we didn't have girls with us and it almost heated up into a physical bashing when Phil and Dusty started getting aggressive in return. I think if there weren't a fairly heavy police presence downtown at that time of night it would have happened. Great improvement on the night. And then we got to the party and were turned away by the tenant, who had been woken up by all these strangers who crashed his home and started partying uninvited...
Something was definitely not working for me this weekend.
On the plus side, Ian was given two tickets to the first showing of Revenge of the Sith and informed me that I'm first runner up on the second ticket, as he awarded it to his roommate Dusty. If I can convince Dusty he doesn't want to go, I'll get the ticket...game on.
